Lazer Issues Mountain Bike Helmet Recall

Lazer has issued a recall on select helmet models sold in North America.

Lazer Helmets, owned by Shimano, has issued a recall on some of the brand’s helmets.

Lazer says Blade, Magma, Elle, and Jade helmets that have been sold since 2015 don’t pass roll-off tests under current CPSC standards. For certain types of impact, the strap anchorage may detach from the helmet.

Only the size S and XS helmets sold in North America are affected.

There have been no reported incidents and the risk is considered low by Lazer.

The recall is voluntary. Visit the Lazer website for more information or contact your local authorized Lazer dealer for a free replacement.

The affected models can be identified by these codes, on a white sticker inside of the helmet. They can be also identified by the new ID codes “LZB-081” and “LZB-181”
