GT has recently announced the all-new Sanction 27.5 enduro rig for 2015. This new bike is based off of their race-proven Fury DH rig, but adapted and tailored specifically for enduro racing.
This new bike was designed in partnership with the Athertons, and a prototype has already been raced to an Enduro World Series podium by Dan Atherton.
The Sanction features a 66-degree head tube angle and a 74-degree seat tube angle, meaning the head tube is over a full degree slacker than the one on my GT Force Carbon Pro review rig.
The Sanction incorporates 165mm of rear Independent Drivetrain Gravity suspension into a 27.5″-wheel and single ring-specific frame. GT claims that these features provide increased high-speed stability, rolling efficiency, pedaling efficiency, increased traction, increased small bump compliance, and a reduction in hard bottom outs.
The frame, with Float X shock, remote, and hardware, weighs in at a claimed 3,125g, with an estimated MSRP (not yet finalized) of $1,999 US. The frame should be available in September or October.
