Sorry about the lack of news over the past week or so. We’re on the move from our digs in Durham, NC to a new spot in the Atlanta area and it’s put a crimp on our blogging abilities. No need to worry though–there hasn’t been much mountain bike news to speak of anyway.
Using our trusty mountain bike news sources and tools the only things we’ve been reading lately are MTB race results and promos for upcoming races (ho hum). I really have a hard time getting interested in reading recaps of mountain bike race results unless I participated myself or at least went out to watch and I imagine you do too. Of course we’ll definitely let you know about unusual race results and the occasional big name racers but other than that we’ll spare you the boring details.
Interesting mountain bike news tidbits since the weekend:
Chinese mountain bikers dominated the Asian MTB Championships with gold medals in both the mens and womens races. The wins guarantee spots in the 2008 Beijing Olympics giving the riders a shot at a home course advantage. Anyone know if the Olympic mountain bike course has been sited/built yet?
Find out what it means to be a bicycle lobbyist. Florida Sports Magazine has an in depth article on Libby Harrow, an activist who works on cycling-related political issues including trail access and bicycle safety.
