Most mountain bikers feel a sense of nostalgia toward their home trails, but there are amazing trails all over the world to discover. Coordinating the logistics of a mountain bike trip can be tricky however, from flying with your bike, to finding which local trails to ride. Mountain bike retailer evo has been running evoTrips adventure travel trips for several years now, helping travelers and outdoor enthusiasts discover and explore beautiful destinations through the sports they love the most.
In partnership with trip provider Chasing Epic, evo has launched four new mountain bike trips in the Western USA. These trips will bring mountain bikers to bucket-list destinations Moab, Fruita, Crested Butte, and Sun Valley. evoTrip is a great way to get the most out of your trip to these famous riding destinations, leaving the logistics to the pros; all you have to do is show up ready to ride!
Each of these four new trips include four days of riding at their respective destinations, lodging, meals, guiding, and bike demos (if you don’t want to bring your own bike). Over the four days, riders will explore the best trails in the area, from shuttling Moab’s Whole Enchilada to Crested Butte’s 401 trail. Dates for the trips range from May to October, and each of them cost $1,495.
- Fruita, Colorado: May 11-14, 2019
- Crested Butte, Colorado: July 20-23, 2019
- Sun Valley, Idaho: October 4-7, 2019
- Moab, Utah: October 19-22, 2019
evoTrip Fruita Mountain Bike Trip
Fruita has always been overshadowed by nearby Moab, but those who know, know — Fruita has riding that is just as good, if not better. Fruita has some great diversity of riding, all a short drive from town. The sleepy town caters well to mountain bikers, with not much going on after hours except time to tell riding stories, clean bikes, and get ready for tomorrow’s ride. It’s not unusual to see more bikes than cars in town, and some of the in-town haunts are world famous (to mountain bikers at least). Fruita is a must-visit destination.
evoTrip Crested Butte Mountain Bike Trip
Crested Butte is truly a mecca of mountain biking, and according to some it’s where it all began. Dating back to the 1970s, the town of Crested Butte has been at the forefront of the sport, and today it’s at the top of everyone’s bucket list. One of the last true remaining “locals’” towns in Colorado, Crested Butte exudes character and personality from the moment you pull up to the 4-way stop (there are no traffic lights). Crested Butte sits at the intersection of several mountain valleys, which allows you to link trails together very easily. By doing this, you can do a simple 10-mile ride from downtown, or you can link together multiple trails to create an all-day, 30 mile epic ride.
evoTrip Sun Valley Mountain Bike Trip
Sun Valley, Idaho sits at the foot of the Sawtooth Mountains, one of the most scenic mountain ranges in the United States. The landscape and views alone are worth a visit to Sun Valley, but we tend to focus on the abundance of singletrack in the area. With over 400 miles of trails, all interconnected and close to town, it’s the perfect destination for this guided mountain bike trip package. Here, you’ll find big mountain riding with huge views, long climbs, and long descents that will have you grinning from ear to ear. The topography lends itself to some amazing high-country riding, with long drainages, huge mountain ridges, and plenty of forests and flowers to keep things easy on the eyes.
evoTrip Moab Mountain Bike Trip
Moab is a legendary mountain bike destination for a reason. Home to world-famous trails like The Whole Enchilada, Mag-7, Slickrock, and Amasa Back, the riding here will leave you wanting to come back again, and again, and again. This trip will take advantage of all of these great trail areas for the ultimate Moab mountain bike trip. While it’s certainly possible to explore Moab on your own, this trip will help you maximize your time in one of mountain biking’s most legendary locations. This means you can look up and enjoy the riding, rather than burying your head in a map wondering if you’re doing it right.
