Seth Alvo of Berm Peak shares on-the-ground footage of Hurricane Helene devastation

Hurricane Helene was "a one in 1,000-year rain event." Seth Alvo of Berm Peak shares on-the-ground footage of the devastation.

Seth Alvo of the wildly-popular Berm Peak mountain biking YouTube channel lives in the Asheville, North Carolina area, which was decimated by “a one in 1,000-year rain event.” So far, Alvo has posted two videos to his YouTube channel with on-the-ground footage of Hurricane Helene as it happened and the ongoing recovery efforts in the aftermath of the hurricane.

While these videos are heavy at points, they are must-watch.

Alvo has also posted short clips to social media, including this one exhorting people to not simply drive through Western North Carolina gawking at the destruction:

Alvo is helping to raise funds for the Red Cross to support the relief efforts in North Carolina. If you want to donate, you can do so on his YouTube or directly to the American Red Cross.
