We’re a little over a week away from the third annual Singletracks #BrutalLoop, taking place at Mulberry Gap in Elliay, GA! Everyone that signs up by tomorrow (4/19) will get an Opinel pocket knife emblazoned with the Singletracks logo to take home. There are over 40 people signed up already, so we only have around 30 spots left. You can still sign up and join in the fun after tomorrow, but you’ll get a different piece of shwag to take home.
Registration is $45 for adults and $35 for kids. That will include parking, access to the bathhouse, lunch after the ride, as well as access to Mulberry’s new jump line and pumptrack.
There will be two route options as in years past. The full Brutal Loop will leave from Mulberry Gap, climb up past the Bear Creek Overlook, past Potato Patch, all the way to the Mountaintown Creek trail. After a ripping descent down Mountaintown, we’ll connect back over to the Bear Creek trail system, and finish on the Pinhoti 1 and 2 trails. In all, it’s around 35 miles and 6,000 feet of climbing.
The shorter loop will start the same way as the long loop, but riders will turn off at the Bear Creek Overlook to descend Bear Creek, and then ride Pinhoti 1 and 2. This loop is right around 20 miles with about 3,000 feet of climbing.
If you want to add a challenge to either loop, you can always ride Pinhoti 3 as an out and back on the way back to Mulberry Gap.
All proceeds will benefit the North Georgia Mountain Bike Association, so come out and have a good time for a good cause!
