After a nasty bout with winter where I practiced embracing the cold and the snow instead of shunning it, dry dirt and temps in the mid to upper 60s arrived in Salida for days 7-11 of the #30DaysofBiking challenge!
Day 7: Monday
Coming off of a long, hard, wet weekend, I decided to rest my legs a bit and give the trails a chance to finish drying. Still, it was nice to feel some warm sun on my face during my quick spin down to the post office and back!
Day 8: Tuesday
I had been meaning to meet up with Ryan from Absolute Bikes for a ride, and on Tuesday we finally made it happen. Day 9: Wednesday
After exchanging a few emails with Brian of Mountain Flyer, I skipped out of the office mid-day to join him and the crew for a ride here in Salida. There were a few mechanicals along the way, but nothing we couldn't push through.Brian of Mountain Flyer hitting the step down on Cottonwood.

Day 10: Thursday
On Thursday evening I met up with a friend for a quick jaunt on Little Rainbow Trail and Lost Trail aboard the Niner RIP 9. Man, this is a fun, and drop-dead-gorgeous, bike!
Day 11: Friday
With the big Singletracks Group Ride at South Shore Lake Pueblo scheduled for the next morning, and three good rides logged over the past three days, I decided to give my legs a bit of a break. Still, I couldn't keep myself from the dirt, so I grabbed the fat bike for a quick lunch time pedal.
