For Pride month, Trek is hosting Pride Ride events across the nation on Sunday, June 27 and donating $75,000 to multiple LGBTQIA+ organizations. The Trek Pride Rides “are a celebration (on two wheels) of love, diversity, and the powerful history of the LGBTQIA+ community.”
There will be 78 bike shops across the country hosting individual events in over 25 cities, from San Diego to Washington D.C. Participants will also receive a 2021 Trek Pride Ride t-shirt, with a 13-color rainbow flag.
“Bikes are for everyone and we want to create a community and a sport where all people feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated,” said Eric Bjorling, director of brand at Trek Bicycle. “This event is for everyone who shares a passion for riding and enjoys one of the best things on earth—a bike ride with friends on a beautiful summer day.”
All rides are limited to the road. A representative says that Trek wanted to make the rides as accessible as possible regardless of riding abilities.
To participate, check out the locations here. No pre-registration is required. Participating Trek stores will have a ride start time, route, and start/finish point listed on their Facebook event pages.
