A new eMTB named after the Great Divide and fresh fat bikes for fall

In a quiet week for new MTB releases, Tout Terrain launches a Pinion-driven eMTB and Salsa refreshes their fat bike lineup with updated colors and builds.

Tout Terrain Divide eMTB

The Tout Terrain Divide electric mountain bike is designed to go the distance. Though details are scant as of press time, the bike features a Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit that integrates motor and transmission and a handlebar-mounted controller that can display turn-by-turn navigation in addition to the usual e-bike functions. It’s a 120mm hardtail which leaves room for a good-size frame bag, though it’s not clear if there’s enough battery capacity for overnight adventures.

Salsa updates fat bike builds ahead of winter season

Salsa says they’ve added four new color and build combos to their Heyday! and Beargrease lineup for 2025. The race- and groomed trail-oriented Beargrease is being offered with either a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain or the more affordable 11-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain, both with carbon frames. The backcountry-ready Heyday! is available with similar drivetrain choices, though the less expensive CUES build is based on an aluminum frame.
