Privateer releases dirt jump bike

Privateer Bikes, known for their affordable, aluminum full-suspension mountain bikes has a new model for riders who favor hips and lips instead of rough downhill tracks. The DJ101 is an aluminum dirt jumper with short chain stays and horizontal, adjustable dropouts which can be shortened for tricks or lengthened for more stability.

Full builds come with a Manitou 100mm fork, a Privateer cockpit and wheels, Clarks brakes, and Vee tires.

K.I.S. steering stabilizer comes to another Canyon Spectral model

The Canyon Spectral CF 8 CLLCTV K.I.S. looks like a fun bike, and it’s the latest Canyon mountain bike to feature the Keep it Stable (K.I.S.) steering stabilizing system. Aside from K.I.S., which can be adjusted to offer a little stability or a lot, this CF 8 CLLCTV build comes with a coil shock and mullet wheels.

SQlab offers slim and wide fit bike gloves

SQlab says their new line of slim and wide fit gloves is the world’s first to offer multiple widths. The company measured dozens of customers’ hands and found that by offering slim and wide versions for each size from XS to XL they were able to provide a better fit to a much wider range of hand sizes.

Slim and wide glove sizes are available in SQlab ONE10, ONE OX, and ONE11 styles. Riders can check out the glove sizing instructions on the SQlab to find the size and width that fits them best.

OneUp Thick and Thin grips

OneUp seems to have gotten the memo on rider hand sizes too. The new OneUp Thick and Thin grips are “designed to maximize grip and minimize arm pump by giving you extra cushioning, a softer compound and added features for a fully locked in feel,” according to the brand. Thick grips vary from 32.5mm to 35mm wide at the end of the bar, compared to the Thin grips which are 29mm in diameter all the way across.

Crankbrothers Klic HV mini floor pump

Given the choice between pumping up a MTB tire using a floor pump or a portable mini pump, 100% of mountain bikers will choose the floor pump. The new Crankbrothers Klic HV mini floor pump seeks to combine features of a floor pump — like an integrated foothold and T-handle grip — with the portability of a mini pump. The flexible hose is stored inside the pump shaft to keep it protected, and connects quickly with a magnet.
