Mips says to replace your bike helmet every 3-5 years. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says every 5-10 years. And Wirecutter notes that the Snell Memorial Foundation says every five years. And if you’ve hit your helmet in a crash, or have dropped it on a hard surface, it’s always a good idea to consider replacement.
