The Robert Axle Project is a champion for the unsung hero of bike components: the forgotten and unassuming thru axle, the bike’s most sacred component. Nah, just kidding. They make long bolts and they’re REALLY really good at it.
The Robert Axle Project makes ultra stiff thru axles that are also lighter than your current axle. They offer axles for nearly any bike, and for attaching nearly anything to your bike — kid trailers, cargo trailers, bike racks, and don’t forget wheels. If you need a thru axle, Robert Axle Project has you covered. All axles are made in Bend, OR.

The Lightning Bolt-On replacement thru-axles offer a lower profile design without sacrificing strength and durability. These axles are carefully machined to the highest standards in the industry for the best fit. Designed, built, and quality tested in the USA and proven around the world. MSRP $48.00 rear and $42.00 front.
Drive Thru Dummy Hub
Originally designed and made by Chris McGovern of McGovern Cycles, the Drive Thru is a dummy hub, or chain keeper that replaces your wheel while cleaning the chain. It is fast and an effective way to clean your chain in between races or in your garage. It allows you to fully rotate your cranks and shift through your complete range of gears while protecting the frame. Installs simply with one hand, and is quick and easy to change between bikes. The Drive Thru is also great for packing the bike for transport! MSRP $35.00.
Kid Trailer, Trainer, or Cargo Axle
Your bike is more than a two-wheeled fun machine. Hook up a trailer and take your kids exploring, load up your mountain bike for an epic bikepacking adventure, tow your trail maintenance tools to forge new singletrack, or just get some base miles in this winter on the trainer. The possibilities are endless with axles by Robert Axle Project.
Thru Axle Finder
Use the handy Fit Finder to determine what size axle you need; just enter what you want to attach to your bike and what bike you have, and they’ll take care of the rest.
