Six months ago, Ripton & Co came onto the performance jorts scene with guns blazing. There must been some sort of demand for the rough and tumble look of cut denim, because Handup, known for their monikered gloves, now has a pair of performance jorts, in blue denim and a faded grey. Just like dad’s old Levis.
Handup says that the Super Stretch Jorts don’t have rigid or raw denim leg traps and they are flexible and easy to wear. They have a standard zip fly, a 4-way stretch denim, an 8-inch inseam that ends right above the knee, and pre-frayed ends with “fray stopping technology,” which should prevent anyone from sparking up a lighter at the cut offs to clean them up. The unisex shorts cost $43 and are available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL.
