Ahead of Eurobike this week Bianchi has announced two new 27.5+ bikes: the Jab Plus and e-Jab Plus. The Jab Plus is an aluminum hardtail that will fit 2.8″ tires and is designed to work with a 120mm fork. The rear triangle utilizes Boost 148 spacing to accommodate the wider tires–this is further evidence that Boost 148 is a standard many manufacturers are getting behind. Other key features include clean internal cable routing. Available build kits will include XT 2×11, GX1 1×11, and XT 2×10 options.
The e-Jab Plus adds a 36V Yamaha central motor unit with a 400Wh battery mounted to the downtube.
Finally, in addition to the new Jab bikes, Bianchi announced that the new Methanol 29 SL and SX bikes will be Di2 compatible and gain a 12x142mm thru axle rear.
Pricing and availability should be forthcoming; we’ll keep you posted on the latest.
