New Pole bikes
Finnish bike brand Pole is celebrating their 10-year anniversary and rolling out four new bikes. To make things less confusing (but still very confusing), Pole divides the new bikes along Trail and Gravity lines, each with one analog bike, and one eMTB. Each analog bike can also be configured in a few different ways, varying the travel and even wheel size. Check polebicycles.com to decipher all the options for yourself.

Deviate teases short-travel titanium bike
Deviate has experimenting with 3D printing and titanium frames, and their most recent project, the Lowlander, touched down at Eurobike last week. The titanium Lowlander features 125mm of rear travel mated with the high-pivot design Deviate is known for. As of yet this is no word on pricing or availability for the Lowlander.

Specialized P.Series DJ Bikes get more mountain bikey
Dirt jump bikes aren’t often updated and they usually aren’t the most techy bikes out there, nor do they need to be. But Specialized’s long-lasting P.Series dirt jumpers were updated last week with some interesting features. Specialized says they’re more versatile than ever and are compatible with a dropper post or a derailleur. They also come with a new 2.1″ Kicker tire. The bikes now have Boost spacing in the rear and are now available in four wheel sizes; 20″, 24″, 26″, and 27.5″.

Ritchey Ultra hardtail now available in delicious honey mustard color
Following the brand’s 50th Anniversary limited edition bikes and builds, the Ritchey Ultra is available in another limited edition color: honey mustard. The steel hardtail features Ritchey signature geo with a 68° head tube angle and the ability to run 29″ or 27.5″ wheels.

Updated Nukeproof Megawatt build spec, improved cable routing
The Nukeproof Megaway electric enduro bike is now available with the latest Shimano EP801 motor and SRAM Transmission drivetrain options. The brand says that while the geometry stays the same, internal cable routing has been improved with access via the battery door.

Pirelli Cinturato™ Gravel RC X tire
Pirelli’s latest tire, the Cinturato Gravel RC X is made to take gravel bikes deeper. The tire has been designed for rough roads, mixed terrain, gravel trails and is an “ideal choice for riders who compete in iconic races of this discipline as well as for the most extreme bikepacking.”
The tire is tubeless ready and the TechWALL X is a 60TPI nylon casing with more overlap on the sidewalls giving it better cut resistance.

Crankbrothers Synthesis gravel wheels
The Crankbrothers Synthesis gravel wheels are designed for wide, 40-48mm tires and the rear hub offers 10 degrees of engagement. Carbon and alloy rims are available, and the front and rear wheels are sold separately so buyers can mix and match.

Ride Concepts Accomplice drops, new color for Tallac shoe
The new Ride Concepts Accomplice is an “athletic-inspired” shoe for trail riding, and it’s available in both flat and clipless models, for men and women, and with various closure options.

The Ride Concepts Tallac shoes turned heads when they were released, and now buyers have a second colorway to consider. While the original men’s shoes were offered in a gray/green combo, the latest Tallacs can be had in tan. Clipless and flat pedal versions are available.

New Pearl Izumi summer park apparel
The Pearl Izumi Elevate jersey ($55) is now made with 100% recycled material and features a dropped rear for full coverage on the bike. Elevate Pants ($170) bring similar styling and functionality with a DWR coating and tapered legs. Finally, Pearl Izumi updated their Elevate knee ($125) and elbow guards ($85) with a new TPU skid plates for improved durability.

Two new Ciovita merino wool jerseys
South Africa based brand Ciovita has two new merino wool jerseys just in time for the winter season in the southern hemisphere. The Vale and Odyssey jerseys both feature merino wool materials and a full-zip design to improve temperature regulation.

Fox Racing adds a canvas flat pedal shoe
Fox Racing released their first mountain bike shoes this spring and they’re expanding the line with the new Union Canvas. The new shoe has a lightweight canvas upper for comfort and breathability with a reinforced molded toe cap to protect toes against the rocky elements. The Fox Union Canvas uses the same proprietary Ultratac outsole as the Union Flat with a tread pattern made for grip and durability.

Hunt Wheels releases lightweight Proven Carbon Race XC UD
Hunt Wheels, known for their durability and affordability has released an incredibly light carbon XC racing wheelset. The Proven Carbon Race XC UD wheels are a 29er wheelset with a 30mm internal rim width and front and rear-specific carbon layups. Hunt used Taperlock UD carbon spokes, weighing in at a reported 2.7g per spoke, while being trueable and easily replaceable, says Hunt.
Lastly, Hunt has a new hub, the S_RapidEngage with a tight 2° engagement. The wheels weigh a claimed 1,254g per set and include a lifetime crash replacement policy. They look to be a great XC race wheelset, but are more expensive than many of the brand’s other offerings.
