IXS was on hand at Interbike 2014 displaying their latest pads, helmets, and soft goods:
Zoic Mountain Biking Apparel
Zoic has been designing mountain biking apparel out of San Diego, CA for 20 years and based on what I saw at Interbike, their line is much larger and more impressive than I realized!
Many of the baggy shorts in the Zoic line feature external, velcro waist cinchers like the one pictured above. I’m a big fan of these compared to cinchers that are built inside the waistband. No one wants to be seen adjusting the inside of their shorts just because they lost a little water weight during the ride!
Check out this chamois! These are meant to be worn underneath a pair of baggies but that doesn’t mean they can’t look cool too. I can’t speak for ladies on this but as a gentleman, all I can say is HOT. No matter how hard we try, baggies are always gonna ride down and jerseys are gonna ride up… so why not add a little style to your liner?
This is the Tradesman Flannel Riding Shirt and what you can’t see from this photo is just how dang soft this jersey (err, shirt) is. The crazy thing is it looks and feels like flannel but it’s actually 100% polyester, so it’s made to perform well on the bike.
I love the colors and design on this piece.
Zoic also sells something called the Coalition “Shacket” that’s basically a shirt that’s almost as warm and sturdy as a jacket. Like the Tradesman, the Coalition is perfect for the fall riding weather coming up.
