Pivot Cycles isn’t the first brand we think of when chatting about steel bikes, though they clearly value the material for both its ride feel and acrobatic qualities. The updated 26-inch-wheeled Point has swappable dropouts for a classic single-speed DJ setup or geared, dual-slalom drivetrain configuration.
The TIG-welded 4130 chromoly steel frame comes in one size, with a 425.8mm reach, 385 to 400mm chain stays thanks to the sliding dropouts, and a 68.5° head tube angle.
The one-size-fits-most frame will be available for $599, and complete builds will sell for $1,599 with a 100mm Manitou Circus Expert fork, SRAM Level rear brake, and Maxxis Holy Roller tires, finished off with Spank and house-brand Phonenix components.
