Kid’s Bikes
Commencal Ramones
What current, high-end bike has V-brakes, 480mm bars, no dropper, smaller-than-27.5″ wheels, weighs less than 16 pounds, and produces more smiles per miles than your blinged-out wonder bike ever could? Sure, a bike from Wally’s World might work in a pinch, snagging one off Craigslist might save you a few bucks, and a yard sale might suffice, but let’s be honest–your kid probably rides more than you do, so why not get the little grom something he/she can shred? And why not a Commencal–arguably the only brand that focuses as much on high-end bikes for children as for adults.
This bike can take all the abuse a 3-year-old can dish out (which is more than you might imagine). Unlike some kid’s bikes you see out on the market, this is a real bike that performs as a bicycle should. I basically have to pry the girl out of the saddle to take part in other activities such as: eating, sleep, or having any interaction with the rest of the family.
