Buying name brand mountain bike components isn’t just about looking cool or fitting in. A brand name offers a sense of quality, reliability, and safety and in many cases, a personal connection between buyer and seller.
Off-brand or no-name components are a bit of a gamble, and generally cost less than their name-brand counterparts. Sometimes, buying off-brand is worth the risk. Other times it’s not. We want to know where you draw the line.
Have you had a good or bad experience with a particular off-brand mountain bike component? Tell us about it in the comments!
