YT’s last iteration of the Izzo trail bike, the Izzo Blaze, beefed it up by 10mm to a 140mm bike. Now, the Izzo Uncaged takes away some travel, putting it at 120mm, giving YT its most XC-friendly and lightest mountain bike ever.
YT’s Core models represent different price points across their range and the Uncaged models are unique in spec and “possibly limited in numbers.” The Izzo Uncaged 7 will be limited to 300 production bikes, with the majority available in Europe and North America.
The Izzo Uncaged 7 weighs 25.1lb in a size small. The bike shares the same frame as other Izzos and is available in sizes S to XXL.
The XC/trail bike gets the RockShox SID Ultimate fork with 120mm of travel and a SIDLuxe Ultimate shock, and in XC-devotion, the bike gets a SRAM TwistLoc remote for the suspension. The Izzo Uncaged 7 is hooked up to a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset with a SRAM Reverb AXS dropper post and G2 Ultimate brakes with 180mm and 160mm rotors front and rear.
Maybe even more shocking than a 160mm rotor on a YT is a set of 740mm-wide handlebars.
Geometry sees a medium with 454mm of reach, a 425mm seat tube length, a 66.5° HTA in the low position with a 77.5° STA, 1,180mm wheelbase, and a 725mm standover height.
The price tag of $7,499 for the YT Izzo Uncaged 7 isn’t a cheap one, especially for the direct-to-consumer brand. For more information see the YT website.
