Young Talent Capra 29″ fans can now snag the brand’s enduro favorite in a top-shelf polished alloy build, provided they act fast. Similar to the LTD Capra 27.5″ bikes, only 400 of the alloy 29″ bikes will be split evenly between the European and US markets. If you dig showing up to the trail on a bike that no one else has seen, now is your chance.
Capra LTD models weigh a reported 14.9kg/32.8lbs (size medium), which is fairly reasonable for a 170mm x 170mm alloy gravity sled. The bikes come with a Fox DHX2 Factory coil shock to soften up the rear end, and a Float 36 Factors fork providing what YT calls “goat like traction” to the E*thirteen wheels and tires.
The bike’s drivetrain is a mix of Shimano’s 12 speed XTR shifter and derailleur, paired with E*thirteen’s 9-46 tooth cassette and alloy crankset. Slowing and stopping are managed by SRAM Code RSC 4-pot brakes and 200mm rotors front and rear. The cockpit is rounded out with an appropriately wide Renthal Fatbar.
The bike’s geo is exactly what you would expect from a gravity-obsessed brand like YT, with a 460mm reach (size large), 435mm chainstays, 65° head tube angle (low position), a 75.5° effective seat tube angle, and 25mm of bottom bracket drop.
The Capra LTD bikes will retail for $3,599, €3,599, or £3.299,00, depending on where you live.
