Two new Flat MTB Pedal Models from Look

The French clipless pedal pioneers at Look have a new pair of flat platform models out today that are both worth a look.

First up, their Trail Grip flats use a tread-heavy Vibram rubber platform to create a connection with different shoes. The rubber pieces come in a variety of colors, and the leading and trailing edges of the pedal are adorned with reflectors for urban riding. These colorful new platforms will be made in the French Look factory, in partnership with their Italian neighbors at Vibram.

Trail Grip flat pedals are available for €59.90.

In the traditional gravity category, the new Trail ROC flats from Look will tattoo your shins a fair bit more than the Vibram wrapped model.

The Trail Rock platform measures 110 x 110 x 17mm, weighing a reported 215 grams. Twelve metal pins are spread across the alloy platform, with 10mm pins on the front and rear and 8mm in the center for a concaved shape that Look says “cradles the foot securely in place.” The pedal’s Chromoly spindle is wrapped in a pair of bearings and a bushing to keep things spinning smoothly.

The Trail ROC flats are available at your local Look dealer for $70/€69.90.
