Thredbo Mountain Bike Park opens for season

New South Wales, Australia

While resorts in the northern hemisphere are gearing up for ski season, Thredbo mountain bike park in Australia is opening for the summer season. According to reports, this is the first time nearly all of the park’s trails are available to ride on opening day.

Overwhelming support for Aspen trail build

Aspen, Colorado

The Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association is advocating for a new skills trail in Aspen, and will begin preparing designs and cost estimates. According to a recent public survey, more than 85% of residents agree the Marolt/Thomas Skill Trail would benefit the community.

2024 BC Bike Race route announced

British Columbia, Canada

Next year marks the 18th annual BC Bike Race and for the first time in 17 years, the race returns to the city of Victoria. Additional stops include Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Cumberland, and Campbell River and the entirety of the race will be on Vancouver Island.

Cedar City, Utah, just north of St. George has been one of the fastest growing trail centers in the state and the town has more on the way. The Iron Hills Trail System has a new 1-mile, beginner-friendly loop with small features and IMBA’s Trail Solutions group is working on another 1-mile progressive spur trail. IMBA says the mild weather this season has helped them make progress.
