The crew at Sky Tavern is ready to roll the dice as one of three West Coast semi-finalists in the 2015 Bell Built Grant program. Just 20 minutes outside of Reno, NV, the Sky Tavern Bike Park Advisory Group, in conjunction with IMBA Trail Solutions Services, plans to add to its proven dual slalom and downhill courses another trail comprising an addictive mix of natural and machine-built features, rock gardens, steep rollers, jumps, and berms. But the folks at Sky Tavern aren’t just counting on lucking out in The Biggest Little City in the World to launch its big hit plans. Propped on city land and already equipped with chairlifts that will boost bikers up the 650 vertical feet, the Sky Tavern team has done their homework to place themselves in a unique position to get this downhill done quick and hopes to make the bike park nothing short of world-class.
