Diamondback has updated their Haanjo gravel bike lineup (available at Backcountry and REI) just in time for the fall, adding more build options and very affordable price points.
Starting from the top down, Diamondback has the Haanjo 8C Carbon. Diamondback says that the relaxed head angle should make for a more comfortable bike. Interestingly, the brand has made the angle different for each size. The 50cm starts with a 69° HTA, and the 53cm, 56cm, and 59cm all go up by 1° on each size.
The seat tube angles all relax by a degree going up each size as well. Only the jump from the 56cm to 59cm relaxes by a half-degree for taller riders.
The Haanjo 8C carbon frame has 142mm rear axle spacing, and comes with a Shimano GRX810 groupset and Easton EC70AX wheels. The retail price is $4,400.
Diamondback has two new carbon builds also, a 7C option for $2,800 and a 6C option for $2,400.
All in all, there are three carbon build options priced from $2,400 to $4,400 and there are now five aluminum Haanjo options, with prices ranging from $750 to $1,800.
The most affordable Haanjo 1 at $750 includes a 1×9 Shimano Acera drivetrain, Diamondback OEM wheels, Tektro mechanical disc brakes, and wire bead Diamondback 700x38c tires, but includes flat handlebars and the tires err more on the commuting side.
Their most affordable Haanjo that actually looks fully equipped for gravel riding out of the box is the $1,100 Haanjo 3, which includes WTB Riddler tires.
Diamondback says that Haanjo 1-5 models will be available in the late summer and the Haanjo 6, 7, and 8C will be available in the fall. See the Diamondback website for more info.
