Camelbak has a few new options for 2021 that mountain bikers will enjoy. The new Light lineup has Rogue, Classic, and Hydrobak variations, all classics in Camelbak’s history of packs. They are all lighter than before and use “recycled materials and earth-friendly components
The Rogue Light has been revised to shed 200g (7oz) and now weighs 225g. It comes with a 2L Crux reservoir and has 7L of storage. It’s made to be very breathable with the Air Support Light back panel and a ventilated harness. Like any good MTB pack it includes an integrated tool organization sleeve with a zippered pocket and reflective accents. The Rogue Light will also be available in a women’s specific fit model.
The Classic Light weighs 25g less than the Rogue at 200g, and also comes with a 2L Crux reservoir with 4L in total storage capacity and an Air Support Light back panel. The Classic Light has a focus on adaptability and also has a tool pocket, adjustable sternum strap, and a helmet carry strap.
The Hydrobak Light is an “economical option,” according to Camelbak and weighs 170g. The pack has a 1.5L reservoir and has 2.5L of storage, along with a 3D Vent Mesh back panel, a ventilated harness, and a helmet carry system. The pack will also be available in a women’s specific fit.
These will all be available in Mid-January. Some online retailers are showing the packs as out of stock or coming soon, with pricing for the Rogue, Classic, and Hydrobak packs potentially selling for $99, $85, and $75, respectively.
