What’s your jam? Trailhead parking lots sing with a chorus of car stereo speakers in the summer sun, with hordes of riders enjoying a song or three to get stoked or focused before rolling out. Since we all have different tastes in tunes, sharing your tonal-fuel with fellow readers might ignite fresh inspiration for some of us.

Lamb of God is an excellent pre-ride band to listen to. I think their best pump-up songs are: Contractor, Everything to Nothing, Set to Fail, Pathetic, and Redneck.
I never listen to music while I'm riding, and really dislike others doing it. Headphones block out other noises and speakers are annoying for everyone else.

I don't listen to music while trail riding, but I often do when road riding (country/small town, very little traffic). I went with Rock n Roll, but Country is right up there too. I like a variety of high energy music while working out.

When I plan a ride, I plan several playlists from my music server and upload em to the player. Pack the Grado headphone amp and RS1's along to keep it as clean as a proper listening room. Sometimes, it is just a blessing to tune out the planet!
Not many rides get this treatment but it can be very enjoyable to break the routine.
