After seven years racing on a Specialized, Troy Brosnan is joining the newly-formed Canyon Factory Downhill Team. Brosnan won back-to-back Junior World Championship titles in 2010 and 2011, and has consistently finished in the top ten since moving up to the Elite level, including a win at Fort William in 2014.
Brosnan is joined on the team by another former Junior World Champion, Ruaridh Cunningham from Scotland, as well as the up-and-coming Canadian racer, Mark Wallace. The legendary Fabien Barel will help to manage the team and coach the riders.
The team will ride Canyon’s carbon fiber downhill bike, aptly named “Sender.” While Canyon has sponsored World Tour road cycling teams as well as an enduro team, this is their first venture into World Cup Downhill racing. Additional team sponsors include: SRAM, RockShox, Maxxis, and Mavic.
