YT Industries has offered a few different waves of alloy Capra bikes, peppered between the full range of carbon frames. Last year they debuted a limited edition “Shred” build that sold for $/€3,499, while their Base alloy model was selling for $/€2,299 with its entry-level build.
This latest iteration of the aluminum Capra will sell for $/€3,499 with their Pro build, or $/€2,699 with the Base build kit. The new bikes get all of the same geometry as their 170mm carbon cousins, with 29″ or 27.5″ tires, in black or blue colorways.
Pro Capra builds include a SRAM Code R brakes, a GX Eagle drivetrain with Descendant 7K cranks, and a set of DT Swiss E 1900 Spline wheels wrapped in Maxxis Assegai EXO tires. Suspension is taken care of by a Fox Float 38 Performance Elite fork and DPX2 Performance Elite air shock with a YT Postman dropper.
The Base AL Capra build comes with the same wheels, tires, brakes, and seat post and a RockShox ZEB fork followed by a Super Deluxe E air shock. Another notable difference is that the Base bikes use a SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain and Descendant 6K crank.
